SERP Rank Tracking
SERP Rank Tracking
Track Google search rankings and detect competitor search ads.
SERP (Search Engine Results Page) tracking monitors where your tracked brands rank on Google for their target keywords, and detects when competitors are running paid search ads for the same keywords. It shows rank position trends over time and alerts you to competitive paid search activity.
SERP data is collected on a configurable schedule (daily by default). Rankings are updated each collection run. Competitor ad detection runs at the same time and flags any new paid ads appearing for your tracked keywords.
Navigate to the SERP panel within the brand or competitor view.
Add the keywords you want to track for each brand.
View current rank positions and the rank trend line over time.
Check the Competitor Ads column to see if competitors are bidding on the same keywords.
Set an alert for ranking drops of more than 5 positions.
Search visibility is a critical component of a brand's digital presence. Tracking rank positions alongside competitor search ad spend gives your SEO and paid search teams the data they need to respond quickly to competitive moves.
- Track brand name keywords to detect competitor conquest bidding β a common competitive tactic.
- Rank position changes of more than 3 places in a single day usually indicate a Google algorithm change or a competitor campaign.
